Description of Services:

Tema Oil Refinery (TOR) Limited, own by the Government of Ghana was incorporated on 12th December, 1963. It refines crude oil into valuable petroleum products such as Gasoline, Liquefied Petroleum Gas (LPG), Aviation Turbine Kerosene (ATK), Kerosene, Diesel and Fuel Oil. TOR is made up of Crude Distillation Unit (CDU) and Residue Fluid Catalytic Cracking (RFCC) Unit with installed capacities of 45,000 and 14,000 barrels per stream day respectively.These Plants are supported by a power generation unit which is made up of three existing boilers with installed capacity of 70t/hr gross each, and 120t/hr gross boiler under construction. There are also two generators with installed capacities 5.5 and 6.5MW. The operations of TOR has the potential to emit methane into the atmosphere and contribute to global warming. This requires emissions reduction measures throughout the process of operations to mitigate the impact.
