Lemigas is one of the directorates under the Directorate General of Oil and Gas in Indonesia. One of its key tasks is to support the government, particularly the Ministry of Energy and Mineral Resources, in creating policies related to activities in the oil and gas industry, including environmental protection concerning energy sector activities. In addition, Lemigas provides technical laboratory testing services related to oil and gas, conducts studies on the geology and geophysics of oil and gas fields, estimates national oil and gas reserves, and performs studies on carbon capture and storage (CCS) and carbon capture, utilization, and storage (CCUS), as well as field surveys, among other activities. |
