oneVillage Foundation's (OVF) integrated approach to sustainable development includes the utilization of holistic farming practices that improve the viability of small farms. The organization promotes farming operations that collect and use biowaste as energy, and shows that farm fertilizer feedstock can dramatically increase the productivity and profitability of the small farm leading to a greater survival rate for small farmer.
OVF provides assistance for field practitioners in developing best practices to promote the use of biogas as part of a larger integrated farming approach. This effort includes working with local trainers, entrepreneurs, and farmers to develop regional prototypes based on the pioneering work of the George Chan of the Zero Emissions Research and Initiatives.
OVF offers: assistance in funding for projects, networking and providing links to relevant experts and practitioners, writing proposals and evaluating the feasibility of projects. |
