CETAC-WEST is a private sector, not-for-profit corporation that provides services to small to medium-sized businesses engaged in the commercialization of environmental technologies. CETAC-WEST’s business is focused on applying new technologies to environmental problems.
One of CETAC-WEST’s many projects is its Eco-Efficiency Pilot Project for the Upstream Oil and Gas Industry, initiated in 2001. Through this project, CETAC-WEST has demonstrated that introducing new technologies in upstream applications will lead to more efficient consumption of fuel gas and capture of methane so that it may be used for more beneficial purposes.
Another project involves the application of eco-efficiency principles to agriculture and food processing operations. An important aspect of this project will be the identification of opportunities and technologies to capture methane in intensive livestock operations. |
