Cedar Road Landfill Gas Inc. is a bio-energy solutions company that has a 20 year agreement with the Regional District of Nanaimo, within British Columbia, Canada. Cedar Road's business model will see the phasing and expansions of the landfill gas utilization facility. The first phase has been completed and was commissioned in March 2009 with an electrical output of 1.4 megawatts.
The company operates the utilization facility with the following objectives:
* To commercially generate electricity
* To develop a regional Collaborative Demonstration and Development Center in support of municipal government stakeholders
* To operate the facility as a bio energy pilot/demonstration platform for other companies with utilization technology to introduce into the North American market
* As a training platform for people to operate and maintain clean energy utilization facilities |
