Abatement Solutions - Asia Pacific (AS-AP), based in Sydney, Australia, provides a range of services covering climate change policy, capacity building, offsets frameworks, project structuring, and carbon strategy development.
Active engagements include:
• Advising on the design of a market mechanism for New Zealand;
• Facilitating CDM projects in China, including project discovery, methodology development and deal negotiations, for a major broker;
• Advising on the design of the offsets mechanism within the Australian National Emissions Trading Scheme (developed by States & Territories).
AS-AP's Managing Director, Rob Fowler, is an active member of the UNFCCC’s expert register and provides advice to the CDM Executive Board on new methodologies, registration of projects and accreditation of verifiers. He has contributed to the development of standards and protocols including the WBCSD/WRI GHG Project Protocol and the recently approved international standard ISO 14064. |
