Within the climate space, there is a gap in initiatives dedicated to mitigating anthropogenic methane emissions from agrifood systems. To address these major gaps and needs, Food Systems for the Future (FSF) is joining forces with diverse partners to co-create the Methane Mitigation and Dietary Diversity Secretariat (M2D2). M2D2 brings to the table diverse agrifood system leaders committed to and capable of reducing methane emissions and improving dietary diversity at scale. This includes livestock and dairy producers, animal feed companies, alternative protein entrepreneurs, and rice cultivators in acknowledgement that radical change will only be achieved with their active participation; as well as agri-tech and food-tech entrepreneurs, financiers, researchers, local communities, and other crucial change agents to bring the necessary innovation and capital to seed the future of change. |
