Vespene Energy develops landfill gas-to-energy projects integrated with custom-designed modular data centers. Vespene Energy establishes “self-sustaining microgrids” that mitigate methane emissions from landfills by attaching financial value to energy created via methane combustion. Vespene’s technology is immediately deployable and does not require any grid connection, pipeline, or offtake agreement. Vespene Energy is currently focused on unregulated landfills in the US that freely emit methane and are not ideal sites for traditional landfill gas-to-energy projects. Vespene Energy uses data centers to immediately monetize the biogas to fund on-site facility demand like electric vehicle charging and grid interconnection. Vespene Energy is also interested in pairing flexible data centers to methane bioenergy to address difficult to mitigate methane worldwide. |
